Thesis 2
The freed capacity is a strategic choice.
Faster delivery frees capacity. This capacity can be used to produce more output or to invest into deeper discovery. Teams and organisations not explicitly deciding which way to go will go down the increased output road by default. More not better output will be the result.
But “more discovery instead of more output” is not a sacrifice. If you invest in deeper discovery, more relevant problems to solve will be uncovered. Better prioritisation and more solutions with actual positive impact on users will be the outcome. In the end more opportunities per time-frame will be identified, more of them will be validated be fore building them based on wild guesses, and more of those opportunities will actually be served by solutions. Build less of “anything”, but more that makes sense than in the pre-agentic era. More value for customers and the organisation, not less.
